My Two Worlds Meet

I’ve always had two main compartments to my life: My head-in-books academia-law-loving-dorky side, and my need to create things artistic side. I’ve been lucky enough to almost always be able to do both, although my post-college-career paths have been heavy in the former.

Working at Twitter not only satisfies my desire for challenge, but is also a breeding ground for creativity. Never in my life had I imagined that I could be lucky enough to have a workplace that was so concentrated with creative people. Everyone seems to have their own amazing story and a serious passion for what they do, both in and out of the office. This wasn’t so much the case in the previous four years working in foreign government.

Well, I’ve been lucky enough to bring those two worlds together for an exhibition of my art in the offices of Twitter HQ. Needless to say, this is pretty cool. And best of all, I’ve learned from the previous two exhibitions that my colleagues are probably my biggest fans. They get my art, and they’re probably the only group of people I’ve met in life who get me. I’m pretty lucky. And I’m really excited. It’s kind of like being extra-complete.
