Eating Dirt with N

My few days remote took me to Chicago for a brief visit with good friends who I’ve been meaning to visit for the last 11 months of N’s new life. It was worth the wait. N inherited not only his parent’s calm and pleasant demeanor, but he’s a perfect blend of C & R, leaving me to gaze at him confusingly for the first few minutes- He was a miniature version of two of my closest friends.

We ventured out to the park to finally get our portrait time together, but after a few smiley portraits, I tried to understand his world a bit better. Crawling on my knees in a pretty dress and rolling in the grass at his level, I got dirty, felt the grass on my face, and even left with a huge spider bite on my arm. I even found myself loving S the dog again. In the end, I also got exactly what I was looking for. N’s world is awesome. Especially that he gets to be with C & R every day. …slightly jealous….
