It’s a great thing that K & R’s wedding finally happened, because I don’t know that I’ve ever wanted to be photographing something beautiful so badly. A few weeks off from weddings, and this is all I could think about. I couldn’t wait to get there and take out Great Grandma’s Polaroid, fingers crossed that 3000 speed film made something. It made something and it made exactly what I wanted: An honest storytelling of the beautiful drama in each moment, all fit within in two dimensions.
And so, not only had I been excited about everything to do with K & R’s wedding because they’re friends with great taste and I knew it would be beautiful, but I was dying to shoot it. And it was perfect. Healdsburg graced us with wonderful weather while Barndiva provided an exquisite venue paired with fresh seasonal food. Smiles stretched cheek to cheek and the dance floor came alive, chair dancing included. It doesn’t get better than this.
K, R, Congratulations and thank you so much for such a fantastic day and night.
And to Matt Todaro who second shot for me for the first time and Rocked it, I can’t wait to work together again!
